So busy moving on, I never take the time to see,
Just how incredible some of these daily rhymes could be.
I write near every day to sharpen up the Gift in me,
But is that right, or should I focus on the symphony?
With tens of thousands of lines compiled, have I missed my moment?
Should I just go and plumb the depths of all those rhyme components?
I’m trying to figure the balance, to see what’s more important,
I’m only hoping as I scope it out, I haven’t blown it!
What good is practice if you never take the ball and play?
Why bother sharpening Skillz if you don’t ever bare the blade?
What good is writing if your words don’t see the light of day?
Am I just wasting time if no one hears the words I say?
What’s more important, preparation or the execution?
I’ve built an arsenal but rarely take the time to use ‘em!
I feel conviction as I’m writing this like I’m abusing,
The Gift He’s Given me; I write to help me fight confusion!
