GIFT RAP 8/21/20

Raze Praise

The Lord has given me a Gift, people tell me I’m slick,

Because the Skill I’ve got’s legit, I’ve been told that I’m sick.

It makes me wonder if He’s miffed from the praise that I get,

And I don’t want to take that risk, He could take it back quick!

Cause I could never steal His Glory but I could loot Praise,

Pilfer and pillage His Ovation in plenty of ways!

I want my words to create a savor, like a bouquet,

So that He never takes His Favor from Praise that I Raze!

We misappropriated any Acclaim we take from Him!

Everyone knows that to perpetuate theft is a sin!

Plus God is Jealous, He Deserves our Worship, prayers and, hymns,

And all that we deserve is death that could come at a Whim!

So if I ever write a rhyme and you tell me it’s hot,

But then I’m acting nonchalant and trying to play it off,

Please don’t consider me pretentious, I promise I’m not,

I just don’t want to take His Praise and risk not to get Caught!
