Trust in His Grace

How many times have you tried to live right but failed completely,

You got it right for a second but that was only briefly,

Professed your Faith to folks around you then you sinned discretely,

And when you realized what you did you felt the impact deeply?

How many times have you started the race running with vigor,

And you just knew within your heart that you would be the winner,

But then the enemy pulled a few darts out of his quiver,

And then temptation hit and you realized you were a quitter?

The times you failed did you think that you could go it alone,

And if you didn’t have the strength that you would be disowned?

Did you realize that you had an Advocate on the Throne,

And that He wanted to see you succeed and watch you grow?

See here’s the thing, without The Lord every one of us fails,

And we’d be drifting in the sea like a ship with no sails!

Without His Spirit, our momentum would fly off the rails!

Trust in His Grace to get you through and He’ll balance the scales!
