More Than Self-Expression

Every time I open my eyes I see a new blessing,

Every time I go through a trial I learn a new lesson.

Every time I fall down I get up and I keep pressing,

Whenever I come against iron it sharpens my weapon!

If I’m ever lost I call and He gives me direction,

When I sin I confess and He forgives indiscretion!

When I stall He gives something to stimulate progression,

Whenever I need His help He’s never leaving me guessing!

In a battle, I’m never worried about my protection,

When I’m down I know to never give in to my depression!

When my enemy pops his head up tell him, get to steppin’!

It’s a command, demand him and it’s not a suggestion!

Am I walking with My Savior? It’s not even a question!

Am I rocking new Behavior? Yes, I’m free from oppression!

Am I feeding the flock? Just trying to lead them to Heaven!

So if you’re taking stock, this is more than just self-expression!
