Who’s Got Ya?

When chips are down who’s got your back when nobody believes you?

Who’s gonna keep you when your friends and your family leave you?

They all assume the worst and justify how they mistreat you,

Trust that the Lord still has you even when life has a bleak view!

When there’s no place to turn and everything’s leading to failure,

The accusations fly and people assume misbehavior,

You need someone to trust who’s there and who’s Love never waivers,

There’s only one for sure like that and I call Him my Savior!

See He became a man so He could experience hatred,

He stepped up off His Throne and shed all His Glory and Greatness,

Humiliated, berated, isolated and naked,

And all of that so we never have to feel separated!

We have an Advocate with God who’s experienced suffering,

And He has promised when we need Him that He’ll be our covering!

When Satan’s roaring at our door and we’re shaking and shuddering,

We have someone to call, it’s Jesus in case you were wondering!
