GIFT RAP 1/14/18

Anticipation

I heard a sound so loud it nearly knocked me on my back!

My eyes were drawn up to the sky and then I saw it crack!

I heard somebody scream, “My God, are we under attack?”

But I knew instantly just what it was, Jesus was back!

All of a sudden I felt odd like a change was occurring,

My eyes were opened like somebody just pulled back a curtain!

I saw the angels singing, “Holy!” and then knew for certain,

What I was witnessing for sure was Messiah’s returning!

I started crying tears of joy cause I knew what was coming!

But all around me all I saw was folks screaming and ruining!

My body morphed into a spirit, my heart that was thumping,

Began to lift me to the sky and my tears became nothing!

I felt a joy that’s indescribable, floods of elation!

It was a feeling that with words there’s just no explanation!

And then I woke up from my dream covered with perspiration,

That’s why my writing has a theme, “Live in anticipation!”
