23. Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.

24. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.

25. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.

Hebrews 10:23–25 NLT

Today’s passage finally gets to another topic. The author has spent the better part of 10 Chapters making one point and as he has successfully illustrated that point, now he is moving on.

Here, he is admonishing his readers to “hold fast the profession of our Faith without wavering”, challenging them to be of Good Faith but not just because he suggested to do so.

The reason we can hold on to our Faith in God is that He is so Faithful to us. God Models what our Faith should look like by Offering us the very same Level of Faith that we should show back to Him.

As always, God does not Ask us to do something He is not willing to first Show Forth to us. He Asks us to Love one another but He Shows His Love to us through His willingness to die for us, giving us an Example of what True Love really looks like.

He asks us to Care for each other but He first Cares for us so that we know what it feels like to have a Concerned Individual Looking Out for our needs.

He asks us Pray for and Encourage each other but He Gives us Answers and Encouragement so that we never falter and fall from our Path. He is the Best Example we could ask for so there is no excuse for us to fail, other than our own self-made distractions.

The author goes on to admonish us to do our best to motivate each other, to stand firm in our convictions, and to gather together as often as we can to remain strong in our Faith and in order to keep each other full of Courage and Hope.

In this current age of pandemic that particular advice is more difficult than ever before but God has blessed us with the technological advances of the internet and unprecedented virtual connectivity to bridge the gaps that our physical distance has created.

We have to help each other as much as we can because even with the Bible to keep us on track we all know that it is more treacherous out here today that it’s been since the days of Noah.

Staying Faithful like the author suggests is not always going to be easy but if we keep our brothers and sisters encouraged and motivated by staying in touch with and helping each other out when we are in need, that communication will help us all see Jesus together upon His Soon Return.

Something to keep in mind next time someone randomly pops into your brain. That thought might not be random at all. They may need exactly the boost your call, your encouragement, or your friendship may provide them!

Have a Terrific Tuesday and Stay Safe out there!
