DAILY WORD 8/3/20

19. And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus.

20. By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place.

21. And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house,

22. let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.

Hebrews 10:19–22 NLT

Today’s passage is yet another monumental mound of magnificent “Meat” to masticate! Seriously, this is truly the basis of our Faith and the Real Reason that Jesus came to Die for us. Without this one aspect of His Sacrifice and His Plan none of what we know as Truth would be possible.

The Holy of Holies, the place solely Designated for the Spirit of God and under the Levitical priests, only accessible by the high priest, and then only once a year after ritual sacrifice and cleansing, through the Sacrificial Blood of Jesus on our behalf is now accessible to all of us.

Anyone that Believes on Christ and is Filled with His Holy Spirit has access to the Place that at one time only the most select individuals had access to. Through His Death, we now have been selected as “worthy” to seek audience with the Most High God!

When Jesus died and the veil in the Temple in Jerusalem was torn in half from top to bottom what was really happening was God giving us access to Himself. It was not just a symbolic act, it was an actual physical and spiritual rupturing of the barrier between God and man.

Jesus’s Flesh was now the Veil and it was literally torn so that, acting as the Great High Priest, through His Spirit, we could now and forever touch the Throne of God by the Conduit of Prayer, Worship, and Consecration.

In that one Monumental Act, He not only Became our new Great High Priest but He Gave us a Gift unlike any that has been offered to mankind before or since. He Gave us the Right to Go Before the Presence of God without Invitation!

We can Talk to, Commune with, and Receive Forgiveness from God any time we do what is required to get that close. So, what is it that we have to do for that level of access?

Is it, blood sacrifice? No. Jesus Paid that Price on the Cross. Is it ritualistic washing? No. Baptism in His Name, plunged underneath water took care of that part. Is it confessing our sins before a priest and jumping through the hoops he tells us to? NO! Jesus is our Priest now.

All we have to do is Humble ourselves and Pray! That is all that is required in order to touch the Face of God. He did all the Heavy Lifting making it as easy for us as a humble conversation to reach the Most Holy Place and to have access to God’s Ear.

Our guilt, our sin, and our filth are no longer impediments to us as long as we are willing to Confess them, be Baptised in water to wash them away, and to Receive is Spirit into our hearts. We are, through His Spirit and His Blood, even more set apart than the Levitical priests were because we have something they never did; Direct Access to God anywhere we go!

This is the True Impact and Importance of Jesus’s Death and Resurrection and no other act has ever been more epic! In one move God Changed everything as far as our Relationship with HIm goes. Through the tearing of His Body, Jesus tore open the Veil and now we can talk to Him directly any time we Pray!
