Single Shot

6. For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Psalm 1:6 KJV

Today’s Passage concludes our first Single Shot Chapter, and as it ends, the author leaves us with the culminating clause of this opening salvo of the Psalms. He has been discussing how we can attract the Blessings of the Lord.

In that discussion, the author had also presented us with the opposite equation. Those who do not adhere to the Commands and Admonitions of the Lord cannot expect God’s Blessings. There is another side of His personality, and those who reject Him will get to witness it firsthand.

Here’s the thing, God knows which side of the equation you fall on. You cannot hide your actions from Him or expect to trick Him into Blessing you at the last minute by making ineffectual and unrepentant apologies for activities you aren’t sorry for.

He sees our actions even when no one else does, and what’s more, God already knows your heart’s thoughts and hidden desires. He knows what you really think when you tell someone something only to ease their mind or cover your tail. He knows who you are behind the mask.

But if you Walk utilizing Godly Advice, Refuse to take Guidance from or spend time with those who hate God, or ridicule those around you, delighting in and memorizing God’s Law, you have Blessings coming.

The Lord knows the Righteous, and He knows the unrighteous, but Blessings only flow to one. Those Blessings are Strength, Long Life, Prosperity, and Blessing. The opposite holds too. If you reject God, you can expect difficulty and trouble, all culminating in sharing in Lucifer’s fate.

If you desire to receive Blessings from God, Read, Remember and Retain His Word. If not, do whatever you please, but don’t be surprised when you receive the stark recompense of your decision. You do the math. The ungodly will ultimately perish while those who follow Him receive Everlasting Life. Pretty simple equation if you ask me.
